Community Volunteering

Providing resources and connecting foster care youth with volunteering opportunities in their community. Volunteering is great for the mind and body. It can boost self-confidence, combat depression, it can help with stress, anger and anxiety. Volunteering can teach skills like teamwork, communication, problem solving and organization. These are skills most foster care youths never have the opportunity to experience. Most importantly the youth feel like they have a sense of purpose.
